I know that I'm not the world's greatest speller, but I do try my best. Spell check on my computer and my phone really helps with this disadvantage of mine though.
As a result, I really hate it when people don't even try to attempt to spell correctly. Also, the shortening of 'You' to 'U' drives me crazy and it just looks ugly.
This rant is brought to you by the fact that I'm selling some stuff on Craigslist. We are trying to get rid of Emmy's old baby things that she hasn't used in a long time. Well, this person emailed me, and then texted, and I had to discipher what they were saying.
They asked for one thing, then inquired about another thing I was selling. The inquiry was so garbled, that I had no idea what this person was asking for. I had to send her a text back that said 'huh?'. She re-texted, and it was still really mis-spelled, but I was able to figure out what she was talking about.
But it still annoyed me all the same. Honestly, it doesn't take a lot of effort to make yourself understood.
